It was an absolute privilege for Genki Fit on the 3rd of December 2025, as we had the honour of sponsoring and presenting the Young Leader Award at the International Day of People with a Disability Awards Ceremony.

This award celebrates a young person (aged 25 or under) with a disability who is creating meaningful change through leadership, advocacy, or community involvement. And let me tell you; the finalists this year were nothing short of extraordinary.

Celebrating Our Winner: Keeley Johnson

Our 2025 Young Leader Award winner, Keeley Johnson, is an inspiring role model whose impact reaches far beyond her years.

Living with autism, Keeley founded Keeley’s Cause at just 13 years old; a powerful reminder that leadership doesn’t wait for adulthood, and challenges are not barriers to greatness.

Through her advocacy, awareness campaigns, and providing iPads to children with disabilities, Keeley empowers young people to use their voices, embrace their strengths, and step confidently into leadership roles.

She embodies resilience, inclusion, courage, and a vision for a more equitable future. Keeley’s work continues to uplift and inspire communities across Australia, demonstrating what’s possible when passion meets purpose.

Why This Matters to Genki Fit

At Genki Fit, we believe health, wellbeing, and community connection should be accessible to everyone. Being able to offer affordable, inclusive fitness classes is something we’re deeply proud of: not just because it helps people move their bodies, but because the profits from these classes allow us to support initiatives like this award.

It’s community giving back to community. It’s movement turning into impact. It’s people of all abilities creating a stronger, kinder future together.

To Keeley, our finalists, and every young person showing leadership in their own way, thank you. You inspire us every day.
